Entrust your journey to the birding experts at Wild Nature Quest.
Organized birdwatching is a novel concept in Bhutan, and most birding tours are led by foreign guides. While these guides may be knowledgeable, they often lack the in-depth local experience required to optimize successful bird sightings.
At Wild Nature Quest, we take pride in our team of experienced Bhutanese birdwatching guides. Our guides have extensive experience leading international birding clients and are renowned for their expertise. As passionate bird enthusiasts ourselves, we possess firsthand knowledge of the premier birding locations in Bhutan, including crucial habitats for rare species such as the White-bellied Heron, Pheasants, Trogons, Nuthatches, and Hornbills.
Wild Nature Quest is renowned for its avian recording, and our vast song library has been donated to Cornell University (USA) and xeno-canto. Our guides not only possess extensive knowledge of birding but are also well-versed in local culture, history, and traditions, with a good command of the English language. They are well-equipped to address all of our clients’ questions and ensure that our guests have a truly enriching experience.
Our company prioritizes promoting unique conservation methods that benefit both ecosystems and the communities surrounding wildlife habitats. This way, we can support not just the birds and wildlife, but also the people living in those areas.
Our guides are professionally trained birders and naturalists who are certified by the Ugyen Wangchuck Institute for Conservation and Environment Research. They are experts in bird identification, conservation, flora and fauna, as well as ethical guiding practices and group management.
Our travel plans are designed to enhance and sustain tourism in key bird habitats while promoting conservation and boosting local economies.
We engage local experts who are deeply committed to conserving the critically endangered species, and they provide presentations on their efforts to protect this species. A portion of the profits from our trips is also donated to this worthy cause.
